International Coach Federation (ICF)

There are a number of organisations and associations that have sprung up and claim to represent the interests of Coaches and the Coaching industry. In our view the International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the best organisation for Coaches to be involved with.

The reasons are simple:

  • They are the most recognised Coaching organisation both in the UK and internationally and their Professional 'Credentials' are the most recognised professional Coaching qualification in the world.
  • The ICF is run by it's members, for it's members - with annual elections for all key positions - so are the most legitimate organisation around (most other organisations/associations are run by Coach Training providers for there own marketing purposes)
  • They have a large and growing membership, and a busy schedule of events that deliver real value to members.

The ICF has three levels of Professional 'Credential'

HumanTechnics Executive Coach Development Programmes contribute qualifying training hours for ICF accreditation. This is because our programmes meet the requirements set-out by ICF in terms of methodology, teaching of the ICF's Core Competencies and follow the ICF's code of ethics. As an organisation we are also working towards our full accreditation.

Our Advanced Certificate in Executive Coaching Programme contributes 38hrs towards the training required to reach the first level of ICF Certification (total of 60hrs required).

To support our customers who choose to go for the ICF accreditation, we offer a further 3-day module in addition to the Advanced Certificate - collectively covering the total training required for 'ICF Associate Certified Coach' status, or to support the training requirements for Coaches looking to move to 'Professional Certified Coach' or 'Master Certified Coach' status.

Our aim is to be the leading provider of Coach Training in terms of quality of training, whilst being a flexible and cost effective Professional Development route for Professional Executive Coaches.

There are a number of links at the side of this webpage where you can find additional information.
